Leslie Giallombardo
Vice President of Advertising, US Community Publishing Group, Gannett Co., Inc.

Leslie Giallombardo has been with the Gannett Co. for more than 30 years in various positions, predominantly in advertising/marketing.  She has been in her current corporate position since 2006, and is responsible for setting the overall advertising strategy for local advertising, which includes retail and classified segments.  She has held sales management positions at Gannett newspapers in Reno NV, Salem OR, Ft. Myers FL, Palm Springs CA, Boise ID, and Nashville TN.  While in Nashville, she also served as president and publisher of The Tennessean for 3 years and a Group Vice President for all of Gannett’s Tennessee properties.  While publisher in Nashville, she served on several prestigious boards including the Country Music Association and the Nashville Predators Community Foundation. 

She is a seven time winner of Gannett’s President Ring in advertising, including one first place award and one runner up.  A member of the Newspaper Association of America’s Classified Revenue Committee, she was recipient of NAA’s 2008 Sales and Marketing Leadership Award, which recognizes an individual for significant and sustained excellence in serving the newspaper industry. 

Ms. Giallombardo has a bachelor’s degree in French and education from Salem State College in Salem, MAs.  She has attended three API seminars: Advertising Executives (1990), Executive Development Program (1997), and Authenticity: The Retreat (2005).
