Dale Peskin
Co-Founder and Chief Knowledge Officer, We Media Group

Dale Peskin is co-founder and Chief Knowledge Officer of the We Media Group, a digital innovation agency based in Reston, Virginia that helps organizations discover breakthrough ideas in media, technology and the culture. The group operates a think tank on media in the connected society; brings together leaders, game-changers and innovators at We Media conferences; facilitates a community of more than 20,000 members; and consults globally on digital communications and business. He forecast the emergence of social media and its impact on newspapers as early as the mid-90s, and coined the term "We Media" in 2002.  

Mr. Peskin is a former news executive who served as vice president of Belo's publishing division, was a founding officer of Belo Interactive, and editor of dallasnews.com. A former newspaper editor, reporter, designer and developer, he directed teams that won the Pulitzer Prize, the Digital Edge Award for Online Journalism, and "the world's best-designed" newspaper.

Prior to forming the We Media Group, Mr. Peskin was executive director of the news-industry think tank New Directions for News, and co-director of The Media Center at API.
