Mort Goldstrom
Vice President, Advertising, Newspaper Association of America

As the Vice President of Advertising for the Newspaper Association of America, Mort Goldstrom leverages his extensive media career by leading a band of newspaper advertising evangelists who preach the gospel of newspaper advertising around the country at every opportunity. Mort has been a frequent public speaker at venues around the world (you’d think he’d be better at it by now), has written numerous articles and columns (occasionally using things like grammar and even punctuation), has conducted advertising research, developed polls and white papers (even ones not actually on white paper), and conducted training on numerous advertising topics.

Mort has spent several decades in the newspaper business with experience in all the marketing disciplines. Mort has sold advertising as a sales representative for Knight-Ridder Inc. in New York City. He was the very first Online Marketing Director for Viewtron in 1979. He has been a retail, classified, and national advertising manager. He has directed commercial print, online, niche publications, circulation departments, marketing, promotion, research and ad divisions at a variety of properties including: The Miami Herald, The Columbia (SC) State, and the Middletown, NY Times Herald-Record. Mort Joined The NAA in April of 1998 as Director of Advertising and Marketing and is currently Vice President of Advertising.

Mort has a B.S. degree in Marketing from American University in Washington, DC and an M.B.A. in Organizational behavior from New York University.
